Conversations: Don’t look back

Don’t look back

To Brushwood

Forget the hey days

Dare you turn around

To see if the past lurks

Behind the edge of this sunset

Don’t look back at Barcelona

It was never your home

Even Buccleuch couldn’t contain you

Stamford was the real deal

But nothing is certain

Everything is history

Don’t look back

For sweet memories

Jackal Creek is not the end

Just dont look back

Even when you heart is hardened

And you cannot explain

the rush in your heart

Don’t look back

And fall dearly in love with yesterday

It brought us here

Conversations: What about D?

Son, there is a world

Out there

Lets go away

Where no one can separate us

What about D?

Conversations: I came to fetch my ball

Daddy, I came  to fetch my ball

I forgot my ball yesterday

Conversations: Why don't you go home?

Conversations: Wear my clothes

Daddy, can I wear your clothes?

You can wear anything
My clothes are yours
My journey is your journey
My story is our story

Wear my clothes
These sagging shorts are mine, wear them
These baggy tees are mine, wear them
Wear my clothes

Conversations: Where is mommy?

Dad, it is late
where is mommy?

Dady it is too late now
When is mommy coming back?

She went to Fourways
To prepare her Truth

Conversations: Good bye, dad

 Good bye, dad
maybe  we will walk again tomorrow
Bu tomorrow  never comes

You have your journey set
Back to your home
I have my journey set
Back to my new home

But the dark night is upon us
hiding the parting tears
as we part our ways
never to walk again

Good bye, dad

Daddy, sharp sharp

Its ok

Sunset

Remember, the day the sunset
It didn't only set on that horizon
It set on us two
Always knew Joburg was a thief
Lost no love when i lost everything
Eager to move on with your life
Couldn't hold back a kick
I am not squirming

Life goes on
Out on these streets
Always been walking alone
Everything else was an illusion
Only this truth is my redeemer
My head is still held high
If I fail it wont be the fall
Already hit the ground
The day the sun set
and so did hope for tomorrow

Free (Modderbee)

Tell my mother I am in Modderbee
In case she doesn’t find me at Thema
I have been holding on to these bars
Yearning for my freedom
Hoping another day I see better days
Lurking through the corner of this prison cell

There is a price for freedom
I paid the warder,  there is nothing left
This prison cell, this heart
These words, even these echos
Bellows the emptiness of this place

Looked out for footsteps, heard none
Listened to the splendour of the outer world
Saw nothing but the emptiness
So if she never makes it
Tell her, I am free.

It is ok.
